Title

AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND/OR ADDING THE POSITION OF RECREATION MANAGER, ACCEPTING THE POSITION DESCRIPTION AND ESTABLISHING THE PAY GRADE, AND FURTHER ABOLISHING THE POSITIONS OF SPORTS & FITNESS MANAGER AND RECREATION COORDINATOR IN THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT AND THE DECLARATION OF AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, it is necessary to create the position of Recreation Manager in the Recreation Department; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to abolish the positions of Sports & Fitness Manager and the Recreation Coordinator and add the position of Recreation Manager to the Recreation Department.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:

 

Section 1                     That there is hereby created the position of Recreation Manager, the position description attached hereto is accepted, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 12.

 

Section 2                     That the current Sports & Fitness Manager and the Recreation Coordinator positions shall be abolished and the  Recreation Manager is added to the Recreation Department.

 

Section 3:                        That this Ordinance is hereby deemed an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, safety, and general welfare of the community to the extent that this legislation be enacted in a timely fashion as the stated position must be in place to provide services as soon as possible to consolidate the duties of the stated managerial positions, and streamline operations in the Recreation Department; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and signature of the Mayor.
