AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION & SENIOR SERVICES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, ACCEPTING THE POSITION DESCRIPTION AND ESTABLISHING THE PAY GRADE, AND REMOVING THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION IN THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FURTHERMORE, CREATING THE POSITION OF ENGINEERING COORDINATOR IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT AND REMOVING THE POSITION OF ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, it is necessary to add the unclassified position of Director of Transportation & Senior Services and to remove the position of Director of Transportation in the Department of Transportation, and;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to add the position of Engineering Coordinator and to remove the Administrative Assistant in the Engineering Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That there is hereby created the unclassified position of Director of Transportation & Senior Services, the position description attached hereto is accepted, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 17, effective 07-08-2021.
Section 2: That there is hereby created the position of Engineering Coordinator, the position description attached hereto is accepted, and the pay grade for said position shall be Grade 11, effective 07-08-2021.
Section 3: That the current Director of Transportation position is hereby removed from the Department of Transportation and the position of Administrative Assistant is hereby removed from the Engineering Department.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
