AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH SPECTRA CONTRACT FLOORING FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF WALL TILES IN THE LOCKER ROOMS AT THE RECREATION CENTER UNDER THE SOURCEWELL COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PLAN, THEREBY WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING PURSUANT TO GROVEPORT CITY CHARTER SECTION 9.02(B)

WHEREAS, the City is permitted to purchase goods and services under the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of replacing the wall tiles in the locker rooms at the Groveport Recreation Center from Spectra Contract Flooring, a participating vendor of the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchase Plan; and,
WHEREAS, Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter permits the waiving of competitive bidding where the statutory or common law of Ohio does not require competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GROVEPORT, FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, A MAJORITY OF ITS MEMBERS CONCURRING:
Section 1: That the Administrator is authorized to enter into contract with Spectra Contract Flooring under the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Plan, thereby waiving competitive bidding pursuant to Section 9.02 (B) of the Groveport City Charter.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall take force and be in full effect at the earliest time provided by law.
